Football Star Welsh Athlete Ramsey Increases Reward for Lost Pet in Mexico to £15,000
Wales athlete Ramsey has boosted the bounty for details concerning his vanished dog named Halo to $twenty thousand dollars.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who currently is with Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, revealed that the beagle was spotted in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato state area.
The beagle, who went missing on 9 October, was had on a GPS collar, and Ramsey published a Google maps location of where she was last seen.
"Any updates about our pet Halo kindly get in touch with us. Substantial reward for locating her. We are all praying she is safe and can be back with us quickly," Ramsey wrote on Instagram.
Initial Offer and Heartfelt Appeals
The footballer first revealed that Halo had vanished a fortnight back and has since shared multiple pictures of the adored canine on Instagram.
A £7.5k reward was first offered, but with no news on Halo's whereabouts after a seven days, the player and his family raised the amount.
"All we desire is our pet back," he stated in an additional appeal on social media after the elderly dog was lost.
A recent photograph upload is a black and white snapshot of Halo sleeping, its head lying in the bend of the athlete's arm, with the message: "What I'd do to embrace you one last time Halo."
Household's Concerns and Context
Ramsey has also circulated a note from his wife Mrs. Ramsey on social media indicating they have some "pressing queries" about the incident and worry the household "could possibly not get explanations".
"To this day we haven't found our dog. It is unlikely we will ever," his wife's message read.
The Welsh captain signed with Mexican first division club Pumas UNAM earlier this year and made his inaugural match in the Mexican league in the eighth month.
The Caerphilly-born athlete is the first high profile UK player to compete in the Mexico's top division.
