Doris Secures Spot in Irish Selection While Joe McCarthy Left Out
Newly reappointed head coach the Ireland coach has selected captain Caelan Doris in his Ireland squad for the fall matches, however lock McCarthy is absent.
The captain, who has not played since having a shoulder operation in early May, recently returned to Leinster training, though his fitness is uncertain if he will be fit to face New Zealand in the US on 1 November.
Lock McCarthy, however, was not considered after not recovering from the foot issue suffered during the first British and Irish Lions Test against the Wallabies in the summer.
Ulster player Cormac Izuchukwu and southern province winger Calvin Nash also miss out because of injury, and number 15 Hugo Keenan had already been ruled out after having a hip operation following the summer tour.
Dublin province prop McCarthy - the brother of Joe - is the only new player in the 34-player squad, however Irish rugby authorities states uncapped Munster pair Edogbo and Gleeson and previously capped western province winger Bolton will head to Chicago as "backup".
Following playing the All Blacks at Soldier Field in a rematch of their previous encounter, the team host the Brave Blossoms, Australia and world title holders South Africa in the Irish capital.

In a mostly experienced squad, the Dublin club's Prendergast and Munster's Crowley will again compete for the first-choice fly-half position. Frawley is the additional fly-half selected as the coach opting against selecting Leinster's Harry Byrne.
At number 9, the Ireland boss has picked British and Irish Lion Jamison Gibson-Park and Craig Casey, who captained the national side to the summer Test wins over the Lelos and the Lobos. Additionally, there is a return for Connacht's Blade, who is preferred to teammate Ben Murphy.
Henshaw, Bundee Aki, Garry Ringrose and McCloskey form an experienced cohort of centre choices. Jamie Osborne is another option in the centres, but the 23-year-old is additionally a leading candidate to deputise for Keenan at full-back.
Wingers Lowe, Mack Hansen, O'Brien and Jacob Stockdale are included. The winger impressed on his first Ireland outings over the summer with a brace each in the wins over Georgia and Portugal.
Paddy McCarthy is the only new name in the Irish pack. The loose-head prop has been in a couple of his province's URC United Rugby Championship matches so far and played in the second string's defeat by the English in Bristol previously.
McCarthy was selected in interim boss Paul O'Connell's summer selection, yet did not receive a international appearance.
Munster second row Ahern, who earned his debut appearances in those matches, is kept in the squad, while experienced Ulster second row Iain Henderson returns after sitting out the summer tour.
Conan, who started all three Lions matches during the tour, is set to cover for the captain if the skipper does not regain fitness soon enough to play New Zealand.
The national team will assemble in Dublin on the start of the week before traveling to the US on Tuesday.
