Diving into a Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Poop with the Goal to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and gamers have found numerous interesting creations from small studios. However, one stands out for its unconventional concept. Titled Unko Technica, this classic-feel side-scrolling game lets you play a character that is truly a dung striving to navigate to a commode. For those curious, "Unko" means "poop."

The gameplay is simple: press a single jump button. In 150 challenges, encounter mini-bosses and access a shop to acquire customizations for your fecal avatar.

Time your movements with caution, as a error forces restarting the level. Leap off floating orbs to hurl your character to new heights, navigate disappearing platforms, and interact with triggers to open secret routes. Earn currency for buying challenging stages in which things intensifies.

Graphically, the demo boasts vibrant environments and catchy music score. The simple visual style of shifting abstract forms may remind gamers of classic titles like Earthbound.

Although hard to think of other games where you are a piece of feces, gaming often included toilet humor. For example, in Death Stranding, you can make explosives from protagonist excrement. Games like Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize dung as soil enrichment. Unsurprisingly, such content shows up a lot in Obsidian's role-playing game The Stick of Truth.

Despite its humorous concept, Unko Technica has already earned notable recognition, like taking top honors at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. A playable preview is available now on Steam, with the complete version planned to debut on computers on November 19.
